People who live in one Gonzales neighborhood say they're scared. They say South Sammy Avenue has gone from peaceful to chaotic.

“I’m scared to death,” stated resident Angela Villeneurve. “I'm not even going to lie, and I've never been scared. I'm scared to death. I just don't want it no more. I'm tired, you know, I'm a sick person, and I want to live my life to the fullest content I can."

Deputies are looking for three men that have been accused of committing crimes in the neighborhood:

In one incident, a black man was spotted during a robbery on the morning of May 8. He's described as being around 130 pounds, between 5’8” and 5’9”. He was last spotted wearing a white t-shirt over his face and a black hoodie.

In what officials believe to be a completely unrelated incident, police are also searching for two white men that got into an altercation with a 72-year-old man. The two suspects hit the man in the head with a hammer and robbed him of $900 on the night of May 8.

That victim just so happened to be Villeneurve’s friend.

“I came running out of my home, and he was sitting on the steps,” said Villeneurve. “They hit him in the head with a hammer and robbed him."
