Gonzales man charged with 119 felony counts for obscene phone calls
GONZALES, LA ( NBC33) — Gonzales police arrested Richard Dent Jr., 42, for making obscene phone calls to local businesses between February and April.
Dent was originally arrested on April 24, for drug crimes.
After investigating Dent even further, police learned that he was responsible for placing obscene phone calls to local business employees. According to police, victims say Dent’s phone calls were a “lewd attempt to satisfy his sexual desires.”

Dent was formally charged with one count of misdemeanor stalking, three counts felony stalking, 68 counts of misdemeanor improper telephone communications, and 119 counts of felony improper telephone communications.
