Fugitive alert: Galliano man sought for felony theft

Lafourche Parish Sheriff Craig Webre has announced a reward is being issued for information leading to the arrest of fugitive Brian Paul Martin, 45. His last known address is 128 A Rosa Villa Drive in Galliano, but he has also been known to visit areas of Thibodaux and Lockport.

Martin is wanted for felony unauthorized use of an access card as theft. The bond amount of the warrant is $50,000. Through investigation, detectives learned Martin made several transactions charging thousands of dollars to a debit card which he was not authorized to use.

Martin’s criminal history dates back to 1992 and includes 28 prior arrests and 26 prison stays. Martin has been previously arrested numerous times on similar charges such as theft, issuing worthless checks, and illegal possession of stolen things. He has also been previously arrested for a myriad of other charges including but not limited to battery, burglary, DWI, and drug charges.
