On March 23, 2013, TPSO detectives were in the Natalbany area searching for a stolen vehicle. While canvasing the area, they observed a 2005 Nissan Titan randomly parked at the end of Alley Lane in Natalbany. As detectives approached the vehicle, they observed two white males running toward the vehicle. Upon investigation, detectives located three firearms located in the area where the subjects were running from. One of the firearms was reported to have been stolen by the TPSO from a vehicle burglary.

As a result, Phillip Joseph Domiano (DOB 7.20.89 of Hammond) was arrested and charged with being on possession of a stolen forearm and Cameron Dale Smith (DOB 7.26.89 of Tickfaw) was charged with being in possession of a stolen forearm and for 2 outstanding FTA’s.

During the investigation, it was learned that the stolen handgun was purchased from a Lamario Patterson (DOB 1.8.88 of Albany, LA), one of 2 key suspects identified in a burglary investigation. As detectives were searching for Patterson on N. Oak St. in Natlbany, they located 18 year old Treshaun Adams of Natalbany, the other burglary suspect, walking on the side of the road. Patterson and Adams were both caught on surveillance video committing several burglaries which have occurred in the area over the past several months.

As Deputy Albert Sharp attempted to make contact with Adams, he fled on foot into a residential area on the corner of North Oak and Magee St. At this time Deputy Sharp gave several loud verbal commands for him to stop with no reply. Deputy Sharp then deployed TPSO K9 Titan to assist in the apprehension. Adams then ran through a second residential yard and forced entry into an unknown residence. After a few moments, Adams was seen exiting the back side of the residence. At this time, Adams was apprehended by K9 Titan and taken into custody.

Subsequently, Adams was charged with resisting arrest by flight, the attempted with the harming of a police dog, burglary and 2 FTA’s.

During the course of the current investigation, detectives received information regarding Patterson’s whereabouts. It was reported that he was at residence on Barnes Quarter in Natalbany. Deputies went to the reported location and made contact with the homeowner who stated Patterson was indeed inside of the residence. Numerous attempts were made to have Patterson show his presence. He did not comply and barricaded himself in a room inside of the residence. Deputy Matt Dean and TPSO K9 Nitro arrived at the scene for assistance. After approximately one hour, Patterson was apprehended and taken into custody.
