Four arrested in conjunction with stabbing incident

Detectives with the Iberia Parish Sheriff’s Office arrested two juveniles and two adult males after an altercation resulted in one person being stabbed. The incident occurred on April 29 at a grocery store on the 400 block of Fontelieu Drive at 7:54 p.m.

Detectives learned that two groups of males became engaged in a violent altercation with one male victim, 18, being stabbed in the chest with a knife. Two male juveniles, ages 14 and 16, were arrested along with two males, both 18 years of age.

The two adult males are identified as Tron Davis and Eddie Jones were both booked into the Iberia Parish Jail and charged with simple battery.

Detectives believe the 14-year-old was responsible for the stabbing. He was arrested and transported to St. James Detention Center and charged with aggravated second degree battery.

The 16-year-old was charged with disturbing the peace by fighting and released to the custody of his parents.

The 18-year-old male victim was not charged. He is in stable condition and is being treated at a local hospital.
