Four arrested for New Iberia shootings

Iberia Parish, La — Three people were shot on the afternoon of April 15 in New Iberia; four arrests have been made in conjunction with that shooting.
The incident took place at the intersection of Rene Street and Anderson Street.
The victims, two men and a woman were treated at a hospital. The two men were both shot in the leg, while the female got shot in her arm.
Detectives arrested Donald Boatman, 23, and charged him with three counts of Attempted Second-Degree Murder, Illegal Carrying of a Firearm in a School Zone and Contributing to the delinquency of a Juvenile. Boatman also had an active warrant for Second-Degree Battery.
A 16-year-old male juvenile was charged with three counts of Attempted Second-Degree Murder.
Kendal Ledet, 31, and Kenray Ledet, 22, have both been charged with three counts of Principle to Attempted Second-Degree Murder and Contributing to the Delinquency of a Juvenile.
Iberia Parish Sheriff Louis Ackal stated, "I will not allow criminals to commit random acts of violence in this community. The suspects responsible for this incident have extensive criminal backgrounds. I assure the public that I will continue to arrest violent offenders and put them in jail - keeping them off of the streets of Iberia Parish."
