PRAIRIEVILLE, LA — At 4:00 a.m. on Nov. 13, Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office Patrolmen were dispatched to a home on Plantation Court Boulevard in Prairieville in reference to a disturbance. During the course of the investigation authorities learned that disturbance was a result of an 18-year-old alleging she was raped by Charles Edward Scott, Jr.

After a continuous investigation by detectives a warrant for the arrest of Charles E. Scott, Jr. 23, of Plantation Court Boulevard in Prairieville, charging him with Simple Rape was obtained at 12:26 p.m. Scott, who had been detained during the course of the investigation, was then arrested and booked into the Ascension Parish jail. Bond has not yet been set.
