Former Livingston Parish President arrested for domestic abuse

WALKER, LA (NBC33) — The former Livingston Parish President was arrested last night for domestic abuse.
The Walker Police Department reports that the incident occurred on Thursday, May 31, shortly before midnight. Officers say Michael Grimmer and his wife were involved in a dispute that became physical and she called police for help.
Officials note that Grimmer complied with the officers and was cooperative.
Grimmer was arrested and charged with Domestic Abuse Battery. He was booked into the Livingston Parish Detention Center on a bond of $500.
Grimmer served as Parish President from 2003 to 2011.
