Former Iberia Parish sex offenders arrested for violating laws

Iberia Parish, La — On November 28, 2012 detectives with the Iberia Parish Sheriff’s Bureau of Investigations Sex Offender Registry arrested two suspects who allegedly violated laws pertaining to convicted sex offenders.
Donald Hoffmeyer, 42, of New Iberia was arrested for intentionally providing false information to the Sex Offender Registry detectives. The information Hoffmeyer gave was pertaining to his place of employment. Hoffmeyer was arrested on a warrant and booked into the Iberia Parish Jail and is being held on a $35,000.00 bond.
Detectives arrested the second suspect, Arthur Jackson, 28, of Jeanerette for failure to obtain an identification card recognizing Jackson as a convicted sex offender. An arrest warrant was issued by Sex Offender Registry detectives. Jackson was arrested on November 30, 2012 and booked into the Iberia Parish Jail. Jackson is being held on a $50,000.00 bond.
