Former football player arrested in business parking lot with eight pounds of marijuana

ASCENSION PARISH, LA — A Baker man has been arrested on drug and weapons charges in Ascension Parish after police found eight pounds of weed in his car.
On April 24, Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Detectives, DEA Agents, and Baton Rouge City Police Narcotics detectives arrested Brian K. Coulter, 27, of Baker.
The arrest took place in the parking lot of a local business in Ascension Parish.
Coulter was found to be in possession of approximately eight pounds of hydroponic marijuana with a street value of approximately $50,000 dollars. Narcotics agents also found Coulter in possession of a 9mm handgun.
Coulter, 27, was charged with Possession With Intent to Distribute Marijuana and Illegal Carrying of a Weapon. He was booked into the Ascension Parish Jail and is awaiting bond.
Coulter played football at the University of Missouri an was a member of the New Orleans Voodoo last season.
