Fluker ex-con charged with illegal weapons charge

HAMMOND, La (NBC33) —
On the morning hours of May 27, Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s deputies noticed Dwight Alex Oden, 25, commit a traffic violation. Deputies stopped the vehicle.
When questioning Oden, he fled and led the officers on a foot chase. He was quickly detained.
When police searched the vehicle, they located a loaded AR-15 Rifle in the vehicle Oden was driving. Deputies also earned that Oden was a convicted felon for prior narcotics violations.
Oden was charged with Improper Lane Usage, No Driver’s License on Person, Suspended Driver’s License, Resisting an Officer by Flight (Foot), and Convicted Felon in Possession of Firearm.
