Federal charges dropped against man who called in LSU bomb threat

Baton Rouge, La (NBC33) — New developments in the bomb threat against LSU in September.
United States attorneys say it dismissed federal charges against William Bouvay, Jr. for reporting the false bomb threat on September 17. Bouvay faced up to ten years for the federal charges.
Bouvay was then charged by the District Attorney's office as a habitual offender; those felony charges could result in a minimum sentence of 13 years and a maximum sentence of 40 years in prison without parole.
