Morgan City, La — Agents of the Narcotics Task Force were patrolling the Morgan City area, when they observed a suspect vehicle failing to stop at a stop sign.

Agents conducted a traffic stop and during the investigation, received consent to search. They located marijuana, drug paraphernalia and a gun. After an investigation, the suspect was placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with no bond at this time.

Michael Coon, 41, was arrested on March 6 at for Possession of Marijuana 2nd, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Possession of a Firearm in the Presence of CDS.
