Failed relationship sends one to the hospital, the other behind bars
WALKER, LA (NBC33) — A failed relationship ended with a trip to the hospital for one man in Livingston Parish. Now, his former girlfriend is now locked up for Attempted Second-Degree Murder.
The Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office reports that the incident occurred on Saturday, July 7. We’re told the suspect, Sonya Foret, 58, was involved in a 10-year relationship with the victim, Kenneth Clark.
Officials say Clark went to the couple’s home in Walker to collect some of his belongings. That’s when things got heated and Foret grabbed a 32-caliber handgun. Foret allegedly shot Clark in his right side. He was treated at a local hospital for a flesh wound.
Foret was arrested and booked into the Livingston Parish Detention Center. Her bond is set at $75,000.
