Eight arrested in connection with meth lab operation

Eight people were arrested in St. Martin Parish as part of a meth lab operation.

On the evening of Sept 17, agents with the St. Martin Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit investigated a complaint of illegal drug activity at a residence located in the 1000 Block of Duchamp Road.

While investigating this incident, agents found an active meth lab in the home.

Eight people were removed from the residence for safety reasons and the active meth lab was dismantled by the St. Martin Parish Sheriff’s Office Haz-Mat Unit, St. Martin Parish Fire Department, and a private cleanup company.

The following eight subjects present in the residence were arrested:

Richard Fontenot, 40, Broussard
Jeremiah Richard, 25, Abbeville
Victor Rivoire, 52, Lafayette 
Geraldine Soto, 50, Morgan City 
Jessica Aucoin, 36, Broussard 
Amanda Francis, 32, Broussard
Grady Domino, 43, St. Martinville
Christina Soto, 33, Broussard

All eight listed above were charged with the following and booked into the St. Martin Parish Correctional Center:

Operation of a Clandestine Laboratory for the Manufacture of Methamphetamine
Possession of Methamphetamine
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
