EBRSO looking for man who tried to use stolen cashier's check

Baton Rouge, La — East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Detectives are looking for a Hispanic male that allegedly attempted to purchase a generator at Bozeman Distributors, 11150 Airline Hwy. on October 22, 2012 using a stolen cashier’s check.
According to reports, the man entered the business and attempted to purchase two generators. The subject presented a Cashier’s Check, purporting to be drawn from Citibank, to the business as payment for the merchandise. When the business asked the subject to wait while they attempted to verify the funds, the subject left the store. Citibank confirmed that they did not issue the Cashier’s Check and advised the check number was invalid in their system.
The suspect is described as a white male of possible Hispanic decent approximately 5’8, medium build with brown hair. The subject was driving a black Chevrolet/GMC four-door pickup truck with chrome running boards and a brush guard on the front bumper.
