EBRSO looking for 2 women suspected of burglarizing cars, trying to cash stolen checks

BATON ROUGE (NBC33) — East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Detectives are looking for two women seen trying to cash a stolen check taken from a vehicle at 8100 YMCA Plaza on Feb. 15, around 10:00 a.m.
According to police reports, the victim said someone shattered the rear passenger window of her car and took her purse.
An unknown person tried to cash a check stolen from the victim at the Regions Bank on Plank Road on Feb. 18.
The suspect gave a Mississippi driver’s license and debit card belonging to the victim in an attempt to cash a check for $1,800.
The witness told police that two women were in a red car with a Florida license plate and dark tinted windows.
EBRSO has investigated numerous vehicle burglaries in the month of February that fit the same profile. Women matching the same description have been seen using some of the stolen checks and stolen ID’s from the burglaries.
Suspect one is described as a white female, with brown hair and wearing a red tank top and a blond wig. Suspect two is described as a white female wearing a gray t-shirt with blue lettering.
