Detectives seek identity of woman attempting to use stolen checks

East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Detectives are looking for a woman seen attempting to use stolen checks at the Wal-Mart located at 5801 Main Street in Zachary on March 17 and again on March 28.

According to reports, on April 2, 2013 detectives investigated two reports of checks stolen out of mailboxes in the northern part of EBR parish. The checks were stolen and altered, making them out to the Wal-Mart where the suspect attempted to use them on March 17th and again on March 28th. An employee with Wal-Mart did not accept the checks. The same black female was seen attempting to use the checks on both dates.

The suspect is described as a black female wearing multicolored nursing scrub attire.

Anyone with information concerning this incident or the identity of the suspect is asked to contact the East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office at (225) 389-5000.
