IBERIA PARISH, LA (NBC33) — An investigation into the death of a 2-month old infant is being conducted in Iberia Parish. That’s because the cause of death has been determined as homicide.

The Iberia Parish Sheriff’s Office was called to a local hospital on Monday, May 14 in regards to the infant’s death. An autopsy was conducted and based on the cause of death, the case was listed as a homicide.

Investigators are currently in the process of determining what happened, which is why details are limited at this time. Although no suspect has been named as of yet, they do anticipate an arrest in the very near future.
