Couple working for BRPD charged for domestic abuse incident
BATON ROUGE, LA — A married who are both current employees at the Baton Rouge Police Office were issued misdemeanor summonses today due to a domestic abuse incident.
Cpl. Leonard Harry and Officer Leslie Harry were both issued misdemeanor summonses today, charging them with Domestic Abuse Battery, in connection with an off-duty incident that occurred at their residence in Baton Rouge in the early morning on Sunday, Oct. 21.
The married couple, who are separated, got into an argument that apparently escalated into a physical altercation. Both suffered visible marks, but neither required medical treatment.
Leonard Harry is a 14-year veteran assigned to the Motorcycle Division. Leslie Harry is a 5-year veteran assigned to Bicycle Patrol. Both have been placed on Administrative Leave pending the conclusion of an internal investigation.
