Counterfeit cash used to buy liquor
BATON ROUGE, LA (NBC33) — Counterfeit money is being used in East Baton Rouge Parish. The Sheriff’s Office reports that a man was caught buying two bottles of Hennessy Cognac with the fake cash at a CVS located on Greenwell Springs Road.
The crime happened on May 20, 2011, and so far deputies have not tracked down the suspect. The two bottles cost $67.87, and the man used a fake $100 bill to pay for the goods.
