St. Vincent de Paul and Baton Rouge Police are looking for the people responsible for stealing a central air conditioner unit.

The unit was stolen from a thrift shop on Florida Boulevard.

Employees went to work today, only to find it was hot inside the donation room. When looking into what was wrong, they realized someone stole the outside central air unit.

SVDP said they can't believe someone would commit such a horrible act to an organization who helps others in need.

"It's so sad because it caused us to not be able to work donations and assist those that are less fortunate," stated Lucille Cox with SVDP.

Cox went on to say operations will continue as normal this week.

If you would like to donate or help St. Vincent de Paul, call 225-383-7837.
