Celestine officially charged in death of 12-year-old St. James girl
St. James Parish (WDSU) — The man held in connection with the disappearance of 12-year-old Talaija Dorsey has officially been charged with her murder.
John Celestine is charged with first-degree murder in the death of Dorsey, whose body was found nearly a week after she went missing in St. James Parish.
Celestine is the fiancé of Dorsey's mother.
Celestine had been held earlier on a charge of obstructing justice.
We're told prosecutors will have the option of seeking the death penalty.
