CAUGHT: Bank robber claiming to have explosive device gets away with thousands

BAYOU VISTA, LA (NBC33) — UPDATE - On July 8, 2013 at 11:36 p.m, St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s detectives arrested 22 year old Torrell Wayne Tillman.
A warrant for his arrest was secured late yesterday evening. Detectives located Tillman at his residence in Bayou Vista.
Tillman is charged with Armed Robbery.
ORIGINAL: Deputies are searching for a man who allegedly walked into a bank on Saturday, claimed to have an explosive device, then took off with thousands in cash.
The St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office reports that the robbery happened at the Teche Federal Bank on Southeast Blvd. on July 6 at roughly 8:40 a.m. The suspect was captured on surveillance, but part of his face was hidden.
After receiving roughly $2,400 in cash, the suspect ran away down Arlington Street.
