SHREVEPORT, LA — At this hour, police are looking for a carjacker who led officers on a chase this morning in the MLK neighborhood.

According to law enforcement, the armed auto theft took place at around 11:30 last night on Garden St. The gunman allegedly walked up to the owner of a car pointing his weapon at him and then took the car.

The owner, who was armed, fired several shots at the robber as he drove away.

At around 9:45 on Wednesday, an officer spotted the car and gave chase, however, he bailed out of the car, letting it roll into the yard of a home on Audry Lane.
