Career criminal back behind bars in Eunice

A Eunice man with a laundry list of prior misdemeanor and felony arrests is back behind bars yet again. This time the career criminal is accused of enticing juveniles to transport stolen items from a burglary as well as distribution of crack cocaine to an undercover officer.

The Eunice Police Department reports that Cody White, 29, was arrested on Monday, June 11 after an investigation. Officials say White first met with juvenile suspects and drove them to sell items that were stolen during a burglary. Among those items was a stolen cell phone, which the juveniles used to call White to arrange the transportation.

At the same time of this arrest White was issued additional charges stemming from a narcotics investigation.

The ongoing investigation was based on a tip that White had been selling illegal narcotics. Audio and video surveillance was conducted to confirm the allegations. After verification was made and undercover narcotics officer arranged a meeting with White.

At that meeting White sold crack cocaine to the officer.

In total White was charged with Contributing to the two counts of Contributing to the Delinquency of Juveniles, Possession of Cocaine, and Violation of the Uniform CDS Law in a Drug Free Zone.

White is currently being held without bond.
