Camp burglaries land two behind bars

Two men are behind bars for allegedly stealing a refrigerator from a camp in Terrebonne Parish.

The Sheriff’s Office responded to the call of a burglary at the camp on Sunday, June 10 just before 7:30 p.m. When they arrived to the location on Hwy 56, they discovered the suspects driving off in a green Ford Explorer.

A deputy on patrol in the area spotted the vehicle at the intersection of Hwy. 56 and Hwy. 57 in Cauvin. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and found a stolen refrigerator in the vehicle.

After further investigation detectives also charged the two for another camp burglary committed in the same area. 

Tony Joseph Lebouef, 24, and Russell Joseph Nelton Jr., 30, were both were arrested for two counts of Simple Burglary. They are currently being held in the Terrebonne Parish Jail on a bond of $75,000.
