Bullet grazes victim's head in shooting, arrest made

Shreveport, La — A man is recovering from a gunshot wound while another man is behind bars following a dispute that ended in gunfire.
Shortly after 3:00 p.m.on Tuesday afternoon, Shreveport Police officers arrived at a home located in the 200 block of Oregon Avenue after a man had been shot.
They soon learned that the shooting victim, Isaac Thomas, 26, of Shreveport, suffered a non life threatening graze wound to the head while at another location.
It is believed that Thomas was at a residence located in the 2900 block of Victor Street in north Shreveport, when some sort of dispute involving another man, Scott Knight, 28, occurred. Knight allegedly produced a handgun, using it to strike Thomas against the head causing the weapon to discharge, grazing Thomas.
Authorities believe that Thomas, after being shot, drove to the 200 block of Oregon where he contacted subsequently notified authorities.
Officers quickly located Knight near an abandoned home near David Raines Road at Gordonia Drive, where he was quickly apprehended.
Knight was arrested and booked into the Shreveport City Jail charged with Aggravated Battery and Felon in Possession of a Firearm.
