UPDATE: murder suspect turns himself in to BRPD
BATON ROUGE, LA (NBC33) — UPDATE: Demonte Foster turned himself in on February 5, according to the Baton Rouge Police Department. Foster has been charged with 1st Degree Murder and Armed Robbery.
ORIGINAL STORY: Baton Rouge police are looking for Demonte Foster, 20, for First Degree Murder and Armed Robbery.
Foster was allegedly involved in the shooting death of 34-year-old Travis Harris, which happened around 9:00 p.m. on Nov. 7, 2013 in the 2800 block of Dougherty Drive.
According to a report from BRPD, Harris was shot and robbed near a stairwell at the apartment complex.
Witnesses said they saw Foster and one other suspect running from the scene on foot after the shooting. The second suspect is still unknown at this time.
