BATON ROUGE, LA — The Baton Rouge Police Department is currently working a double shooting that happened at shortly before 5:00 p.m. on the 1800 block of Ryder Lane.

EMS confirms that a 28 year old woman was transported to the hospital with a gun shot wound to the abdomen. BRPD tell us her injury is listed as life threatening. We're told an 11 year old child was also shot but was transported separately to a local hospital. Their condition is unknown at this time.

The Baton Rouge Police Department says the incident is believed to be related to a domestic dispute.
