BRPD cracks case for series of armed robberies, more arrests anticipated

A Baton Rouge man has been arrested in connection to a dozen armed robberies committed over the past two months and police said he didn’t act alone.

“This is an ongoing investigation,” Cpl. L’Jean McKneely, Baton Rouge Police Department, said. “We have arrested some individuals who were involved in these cases and we will arrest more individuals involved.”

Thomas Davis, 26, was questioned by police regarding the robberies and he allegedly confessed to participating in the crimes.

  • July 22 – (Attempt) Wendy’s Restaurant, 6035 Plank Rd
  • July 29 – Wendy’s Restaurant, 7112 Florida Blvd
  • August 4 – Little Caesar’s Pizza, 4222 Government St
  • August 8 – Dollar General, 5352 Government St
  • August 12 – Family Dollar, 7165 Greenwell Springs
  • August 14 – Family Dollar, 5870 Plank Rd
  • August 26 – Subway Restaurant, 9462 Florida Blvd
  • Sept. 3 – Family Dollar, 1542 N. Foster
  • Sept. 16 – Dollar General, 1931 Plank Rd
  • Sept. 18 – Advanced Auto Parts, 2346 Plank Rd

According to the arrest report, the amount of money taken from the robberies totals $12,797.

Davis was booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison. His bond was set at $575,000.
