Two people have been arrested for their alleged involvement in the murder of a Baton Rouge man.

The Baton Rouge Police Department reports that Denise Jenkins, 40, and Calvin Lattimer, 20, were arrested today for allegedly shooting and killing Paul Wright, 33.

The incident happened on Sunday, Jan. 20 on the 4600 block of Hooper Road. We’re told a group of individuals were seen arguing in the roadway before the shooting occurred.

Jenkins is charged with Second-Degree Murder. Lattimer is charged with Principal to Second-Degree Murder. Both were booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison.

This year the Baton Rouge Police Department has conducted 11 homicide investigations. As of this arrest, only four of those cases remain open. Three of the cases were listed as Negligent Homicide due to the accidental discharge of a gun.
