A Baker man was arrested for allegedly using a cell phone to record video under a woman’s dress.

According to the arrest report, the Baton Rouge Police Department was contacted on Monday, July 29. A witnessed told the officer that the man attached his cell phone to the top of his shoe to purposefully record video under the woman’s clothing.

The officer questioned the suspect, Joseph Wesley Morales, 37, allegedly admitted to the offense.

“[Morales]…stated that he did not know what he was thinking,” the report notes. “He stated that he did video up the victim’s dress with his cell phone by putting it on top of his shoe. He also acknowledged that the victim did not know he was doing the act. He further advised he did not transmit the video to anyone.”

The store provided surveillance video that allegedly shows Morales in close proximity to the victim and with what appears to be a cell phone on his shoe.

Morales was arrested and charged with Video Voyeurism. He was booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison. His bond was set at $2,500.
