A Baton Rouge Diocese employee is now in jail after stealing over $41,000.

BRPD spokesperson Cpl Don Coppola, says officers arrested Alice W. Faucheux, 57, around 9:00 a.m. on July 29.

An internal audit of The Catholic Diocese of Baton Rouge revealed that office manager; Faucheux allegedly purchased $41,005.44 in prepaid debit cards, with the Diocese’s Office Depot business credit card between 2011 and June of 2014.

Coppola says Faucheux used the debit cards to pay various bills and other unnamed expenses.

Faucheux was booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison on charges of Felony Theft and Unauthorized Use of an Access Device Card.
