BRFD suspects arson in Maryland Street house fire
BATON ROUGE (NBC33) — Baton Rouge Fire Department investigators think arson is behind a Thursday morning house fire that happened in the 2000 block of Maryland Street just after midnight.
The two people who live at the home were both there when the fire started, but no injuries were reported.
According to reports from the BRFD, the fire started in the back of the home.
When firefighters got to the scene, nearly 75 percent of the house was damaged. The rest of the structure had significant heat, smoke, and water damage.
