Breaux Bridge man arrested on several drug charges

ST. MARTINVILLE, LA — On Tuesday, Dec. 21, the St. Martin Parish Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit conducted an investigation in the Breaux Bridge area.
After conducting surveillance, agents stopped a vehicle driven by Joshua Solomon, 36, of Breaux Bridge. A K-9 alert prompted a search of the vehicle. Agents located 10,333 grams of marijuana inside of the vehicle.
The marijuana has an estimated street value of $52,000.
A search was also conducted at Solomon’s residence where additional illegal narcotics and an AK-47 assault rifle were located.
Solomon was arrested and booked into the St. Martin Parish Correctional Center on the following charges: Possession with intent to distribute Schedule I CDS (Marijuana), Possession of Schedule III CDS (Hydrocodone), Possession of Schedule IV CDS (Carisoprodol), Possession of Schedule V CDS (Promethazine with Codeine), Transactions involving proceeds from drug offenses, Possession of a Firearm in the presence of a CDS, and Driving Left of Center
