BR man could face up to 30 years in prison for child pornography arrest

A Baton Rouge man has been arrested and charged with violating Louisiana statutes against pornography involving juveniles, announced Attorney General Buddy Caldwell.

Richard Wells-Lightsey, 26, was arrested Friday, April 5 as part of a joint investigation involving the Attorney General’s High Technology Crime and Fugitive Apprehension Units, Homeland Security Investigations, and East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office.

Wells-Lightsey is charged with one count of pornography involving juveniles, a state law forbidding a person to produce, distribute, possess, or possess with the intent to distribute pornography involving juveniles, and one count of unauthorized use of a wireless router system to access pornography involving juveniles. He was booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison and could face up to 30 years in prison, if convicted.
