Bossier City man turns himself in for alleged murder
Bossier City (KMSS) — A Bossier City man was arrested for allegedly shooting and killing another man late Monday at a local mobile home park.
Officers were dispatched to a reported shooting in the 6000 block of East Texas Street at around 11:15 p.m., said Bossier City Police. When officers arrived at the site, they found a victim lying in the street near a home with a gunshot wound to his upper body.
Authorities worked immediately on saving the man's life until firefighters made it to the scene. The victim would later be pronounced dead at University Health in Shreveport.
About an hour after the incident, Christopher Brandon Phillips, 27, of Bossier City, turned himself into police at BCPD headquarters. He was arrested and booked into jail on a second degree murder charge.
The name of the victim is not yet being released pending notification of next of kin.
