Bossier City caretaker accused of stealing thousands from 93-year-old woman

A Bossier City woman is accused of stealing thousands from a 93-year-old woman for whom she was caretaking.

Robin Early, 51, of Bossier City, has been charged with theft of assets of an aged person. Authorities believe she stole a credit card from the woman and made about $2,000 in purchases. Early is also accused of stealing jewelry from the victim.

According to the Bossier City Police Department, Early was working as an an independent sitter.

Authorities are looking into whether the alleged thief may have taken advantage of others who hired her. If you have hired Early as a sitter in the past, police are asking you contact the Bossier Financial Crimes Task Force at (318) 741-8831.

Authorities everywhere need to be equally as concerned about investigating the many incorporated "assisted living" facilities that have high ranking employees who engage in this same behavior. Why is it that they tend to look the other way or become part of the "cover-up" scheme.
