Bond set at $225,000 for Lake Charles man arrested for home invasion, rape

A 21-year-old man was arrested after he allegedly broke into a home and raped a person.

The Lake Charles Police Department reports that the incident happened at roughly 1:30 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 23.

“While Officers were enroute to the location they were provided with a suspect description,” Mark Kraus, Lake Charles Police Department, said. “Corporal Kyle Young, Officer Travis Parker and Officer Joseph Smith located the black male suspect in the 2000 block of Gerstner Memorial Highway where he was placed under arrest.”

Aaron Oneal Julian was arrested and charged with Home Invasion, Simple Rape, and Flight from an Officer. He was booked into the Calcasieu Parish Correctional Center. His bond was set at $225,000.

Officials did not provide any additional details regarding the victim or the suspect’s relationship to the individual.
