DENHAM SPRINGS, LA — Bond has been set at $10 million for a Denham Springs man who was arrested and charged with 100 counts of possessing pornography involving juveniles, announced Attorney General Buddy Caldwell.
Marvin Thornton, 49, was arrested Wednesday as part of a joint investigation involving the Attorney General’s High Technology Crime Unit, Louisiana Probation and Parole, and the Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office.
Thornton is accused of violating a state law forbidding a person to produce, distribute, possess, or possess with the intent to distribute pornography involving juveniles. He was booked into the Livingston Parish Detention Center without incident.
Thornton was on probation for a 2011 obscenity conviction at the time of his arrest. If convicted on the new charges, he could face up to 20 years in prison on each count.
