A 51-year-old man was arrested over the weekend for his 4th DWI. His prior arrests happened in February 2011, July 2011, and May 2013.

According to the arrest report, an officer with the Baton Rouge Police Department conducted a traffic stop on Friday, Sept. 6 at roughly 9:20 p.m. The officer claims the suspect, Michael Jackson, was driving without a seatbelt.

The officer noted that Jackson smelled of alcohol and was slurring his speech. He added that Jackson’s eyes were “red and watery.”

When asked if he had anything to drink, Jackson replied “2 shots of whiskey and 1 beer.”

A field sobriety test was conducted and the officer claims that Jackson performed poorly. He then refused a chemical test.

Jackson was arrested and charged with DWI (4th offense), Driving Under Suspension, Reckless Operation, and Seatbelt Violation. He was booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison. His bond was set at $32,250.
