BATON ROUGE, LA (NBC33) — A 28-year-old man was arrested on drug charges after he was found slumped over in his vehicle located in the parking lot of the L’auberge casino.
According to the arrest report, deputies with the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to the casino. When they arrived they found the man, Brandon Rangeley, unresponsive in his vehicle.
“[The deputy] observed ‘track marks’ consistent with drug use on [his] arms and also right ankle,” the report noted. “He was clearly under the influence of narcotics, with slurred speech, dazed appearance, and hardly able to walk.”
Deputies recovered a baggie containing crystal like substance, a spoon and needle. They also located another baggie containing 19 pills, 18 were Alprazolam and one was Amphetamine. Rangeley claimed that the drugs were not his and he did not have a prescription for them.
Rangeley was arrested and charged with Possession with Intent to Distribute Methamphetamine, Amphetamine, Alprazolam, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. He was booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison. His bond was set at $55,500.
