A Baton Rouge man is accused of attacking his girlfriend and two other individuals. After the attack, he allegedly turned his pit bull loose on the adults, as well as the woman’s 3-year-old child.

According to the arrest report, the Baton Rouge Police Department was dispatched to a home located on Harry Drive for a domestic disturbance. When they arrived, they found the suspect, Terrell Brown, 53, walking in the roadway. He was allegedly yelling and smelled of alcohol.

Officers learned Brown had been involved in an altercation with his long term, live-in girlfriend prior to their arrival. He allegedly kicked her several times.

Two people confronted Brown during the attack. That’s when he allegedly armed himself with a screw driver and “began screaming at everyone.” They then went with the man’s girlfriend and her child to the back bedroom of the home.

While the victims were in the bedroom, they claim Brown opened the sliding door and released his pit bull into the room. One victim claims the dog has a history of biting people.

All four of the victims were able to escape through the back door.

When officers attempted to talk with Brown, he became hostile. He kicked the inside window of the police unit several times and spat at officers.

Brown was placed under arrest and charged with Domestic Abuse Battery, Aggravated Assault, Cruelty to Juveniles, Disturbing the Peace by Intoxication, Resisting an Officer and Battery on a Police Officer. He was booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison. His bond was set at $27,000.
