UPDATE: The Baton Rouge Police Department reports that Andres Gonzales turned himself in to police on Tuesday, May 21.

The Baton Rouge Police Department has investigated 22 homicide cases in 2013. Including this case, two of those were caused by a beating, one was a stabbing, and the remainder were shootings.

ORIGINAL: The victim of a bar fight died after spending 7 days in the hospital. Police are now looking for the man accused of attacking him.

The Baton Rouge Police Department reports that the fight happened at Club End Zone on Plank Road. Shortly after midnight the suspect, Andres Gonzalez, 27, got involved in an altercation with the victim, Raphael Domino, Jr., 39.

Investigators believe Gonzales punched Domino during a fight and knocked the man to the ground. Domino hit his head when he landed and was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

Officials tell NBC33 News that Gonzales was identified by witnesses at the scene. He reportedly fled the area before police arrived.

Domino died on Sunday, May 12, and police issued a warrant for Gonzalez’s arrest. He is charged with Second-Degree Murder.
