A shooting in Baker put several behind bars, and has the police chief fuming.

William Davis, Kedron Haynes, Kurtis Heard and Dwayne McBride have all been arrested for a shooting that happened around 8:30 p.m. on June 28.

Chief Knaps says the incident is the result of a long standing feud between the men. He says a group of men went to a home on greenwood lane and began shooting at the people standing out front.

One man who was being shot at grabbed a gun and began firing back.

Chief Knaps says this type of crime does not happen in Baker, and he warns potential criminals and their parents that all parties can and will be held accountable.

"You are accountable for your children," Chief Knaps said. "If you going to let them live at your house, I don't care if they're 25-years-old, if you allow them to live at your house, and you allow this type of activity to happen, you're going to go to jail with your kids, so I suggest you either make them live right or move them on."

No one was injured in the incident, but Chief Knaps says more arrests are possible.

I believe Chief Knapp is misunderstanding how the law works. You simply cannot arrest everyone in the home because an individual commits a crime there. As horrible as this crime is, it was completely engulfed by Knapp's totalitarian statement.
