A Baker man was arrested early this morning for possession of illegal drugs and firearms. During questioning he allegedly admitted to selling drugs to supplement his income.

The Baker Police Department reports that the arrest was made due to a narcotics investigation. A search warrant was issued for a home on Greenwood Lane and it was carried out on Friday, Feb. 22 shortly before 5:00 a.m.

Reports indicate that the suspect, Calvin Stewman, was in the home and marijuana was visible. At that point officers asked if he had any marijuana or firearms in the home, to which he replied “yes.”

Officers confiscated several firearms, including a revolved, semi automatic firearm, shotguns and rifles. They also located marijuana portioned in individual bags, as well as small quantities in various areas of the home.

Stewman was arrested and admitted to selling marijuana and Hydrocodone pills. He claims that he has only done it for a few months.
