Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office Chief Deputy Tony Bacala is asking for the public’s help identifying a black female who took a wallet from a purse at Winn-Dixie in Prairieville.

The credit card that was found in the wallet was used at the Winn-Dixie on August 28 to obtain a gift card for $500, and the card was also used in the Greater New Orleans area. A second card that was found in the wallet was used at Wal-Mart in Prairieville and Walgreens Pharmacy where gift cards were purchased totaling $3,000. Those gift cards were also used in the Greater New Orleans area.

On September 28, a female was shopping at the Goodwill store on Airline Highway in Gonzales and the same female stole a wallet and there was an attempted transaction from Walgreens Pharmacy located on Airline Highway in Gonzales.

The female appears to be in her 20’s and 30’s with a slender build. She has hair past her shoulders, and has a dark complexion. She was seen wearing loose fitting clothing and sunglasses.
