Attempted murder suspect caught after being on the loose for nearly a week
BATON ROUGE, La (NBC33) - A fist fight led to gunshots, and a man is behind bars as a result.
East Baton Rouge officers were sent to the 12000 block of Arena Drive in response to gunshots on Feb. 24.
The victim and her three children were in their residence when shots were fired. Detectives found eleven .40 caliber shells near the house, and saw that the house itself had been hit 4 times.
Police learned that a fight occurred the day before between the victim’s boyfriend and Tilton Moore, a former prisoner.
Moore was interviewed by Violent Crime Unit detectives, and soon identified his cousin, Robert Stevenson, 34, as the gunman.
A warrant was issued for Stevenson’s arrest; he was found on March 2.
Stevenson has been charged with four counts of Attempted First Degree Murder, Aggravated Damage to Property, and Illegal Use of a Weapon.
