Ascension Parish drug bust leads to 4 arrests
PRAIRIEVILLE, LA (NBC33) — Four people have been arrested in a drug bust in an Ascension Parish.
On December 5, 2013 the Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office received a tip that Chrystal Carter (31) was allegedly selling narcotics from her home in Prairieville.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, their narcotics division conducted a warranted search on Carter’s home on January 3. Detectives say they seized quantities of methamphetamine, heroin, synthetic cannabis, and prescription medication.
Carter was arrested during the search along with Ahren Seaton (36), Cabot Random Black (32), and Laura Aucoin (27).
Chrystal Carter was charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, and two counts possession of a legend drug. The Sheriff’s office said Carter posted a bond of $40,342.50 on January 5.
Laura Aucoin was charged with possession of heroin and possession of drug paraphernalia. The Sheriff’s office said she posted a bond of $35,342.50 on January 7
Cabot Random Black was charged with possession of heroin, possession of synthetic cannabinoids, and possession of drug paraphernalia. The Sheriff’s office said Black’s bond has been set at $36,085.
The Sheriff’s office said Ahren Seaton was charged with possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia. His bond has been set at $40,342.50.
Seaton and Black have not yet posted bond and remain incarcerated at the Ascension Parish jail.
